DSST (DANTES Subject Standardized Test)

The DSST (DANTES Subject Standardized Test) is a computerized exam that is offered at both the University of Memphis Main Campus as well as the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus by appointment only.  The DSST exam is comprised of 120 questions with an allotted time of 2 hours and serves as a national testing center for all DSST exams.

**Please Note that policies regarding DSST credits differ at various institutions, candidates should verify with their respective school on which exams are accepted.  All DSST exams offer immediate scoring with the exception of: Principles of Public Speaking.

 REGISTRATION PROCEDURES:

• The administration fee for the DSST exam is $35.00 + service fee. Candidates may select an exam date and pay their registration fee through our secure payment link below. (Please note that you must schedule your exam 48 hours prior to your requested test date and cancel or reschedule your exam 24 hours before your scheduled exam).

• In addition to your administration fee, an $100 exam fee paid to DSST is required on the day of testing and is payable by Debit/Credit only.

• Please create a DSST user account by going to: https://tcnet.prometric.com/dsst - once on the home page (if a Silverlight install message pops up, please disregard and continue) click the "Register Tab". Failure to create a user account (not a DSST practice exam account) will result in you not being about to take your exam and you will be required to reschedule.

• On Exam Day:

• • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time; arriving more than 15 minutes after your scheduled reporting time will forfeit your exam fee and your will be required to reschedule.

  • Your self created DSST username and password is required for testing - please have it with you on exam day or you will be required to reschedule - please note that you will not have the opportunity to to retrieve your username and password on exam day.

  • Please have with you a valid credit/debit card so that you may process your $100 DSST exam fee.

• • A valid government issued photo ID with signature is required for testing.
