ACT Residual
The ACT Residual (ACT R) is an option for completing one of the admissions requirements for perspective University of Memphis students under the age of 21. Unlike the ACT National exam, the ACT Residual composite scores are only valid at the University of Memphis and examines will not receive an official score report. Prospective students should apply for admission to the University first and receive approval to take the ACT residual by an admissions counselor.
The ACT Residual exam consists of four multiple choice sections: English, Math, Reading, and Science Reasoning and has an allotted time of 175 minutes. More information can by found at by visiting ACT.org

The ACT Residual exam is offered at the University of Memphis Main Campus.

The administration fee for the ACT Residual is $68 + service fee and is payable though our secure payment link below. (Please note that you must schedule your exam 48 hours prior to your requested test date and cancel or reschedule your exam 24 hours before your scheduled exam).

Please allow 3 business days from testing for grading and score delivery. At that time, you may contact the office of Admission (901.678.2111) for "next step" procedures.

On Exam Day

Valid government issued photo ID with signature is required for testing.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time; arriving more than 15 minutes after your scheduled reporting time will forfeit your exam fee and your will be required to reschedule.

You are welcomed to have a personal calculator. Refer to http://www.actstudent.org/faq/calculator.html. Your will not be permitted to use a calculator that is not approved.
