National Nutrition Month® is an annual nutrition education and information campaign
started by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 1973. It is planned during the month of March. The theme for 2025
is "Food Connects Us." More information about the National Nutrition Month® campaign and this year's theme can be found here.
Why do we celebrate National Nutrition Month®? Here at the University of Memphis,
we hope to inspire students to prioritize nutrition in a way that is simple, affordable, and individualized so they can be thrive
in all areas of their lives. Bringing National Nutrition Month® to the University of Memphis will allow students to engage in a variety
of nutrition-related services and activities on campus to better understand the "importance of making informed food choices and
developing sound eating and physical activity habits."
The following video shares a little bit more about what National Nutrition Month®
