Accommodations for the Tennessee Bar Exam

DRS will assist you in requesting accommodations for the Tennessee Bar Exam by completing NST-Form 3. This form can be found at Tennessee Board of Law Examiners (TNBLE). Please complete your portion of the form and send the form to your DRS coordinator at least two weeks prior to the deadline. Once your DRS coordinator completes the form, it will be uploaded directly to the TNBLE.

Please note that the Tennessee Board of Law Examiners (TBLE) requires the submission of extensive documentation meeting specific requirements to support accommodation requests for the Tennessee Bar Exam.  Depending on your individual circumstances, including the nature of your disability and the date and scope of your last evaluation for accommodations, you may need to obtain new testing by a qualified professional to comply with the TBLE’s requirements.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the required documentation is submitted by the applicable deadline when applying for the Tennessee Bar Exam; thus, we encourage you to review the relevant requirements at least one year before you plan to apply for the bar exam so that you understand the requirements and have sufficient time to obtain any necessary evaluations and documentation. Please see the Policy for Requests for Non-Standard Testing to learn more about requesting accommodations on the Tennessee Bar Exam.
