Tiger Meal Swipes
Tiger Meal Swipes allow students in need of temporary food assistance five (5) meal swipes to the Tiger Den located on campus. Meal Swipes are collected through students donating their un-used guest meals. The Tiger Meal Swipes Program is a partnership between the Office of the Dean of Students' Student Outreach and Support Services, Chartwells, and University & Student Business Services.
The University of Memphis is proud to partner with Swipe Out Hunger to provide this program.
Donating Meals
The meal swipe drive for Spring 2020 is now complete. Thank you to all students who donated meals!
I don't have a meal plan, how can I help?
Students who don't have a meal plan are unable to donate meals to Tiger Meal Swipes.
Luckily, we have lots of other ways to help fight campus food insecurity here at UofM!
Check out Tigers Fight Hunger for opportunities.
Receiving Meals
Students in need of temporary food assistance can submit a Tiger Meal Swipes application. The Office of the Dean of Students' Student Outreach and Support Services will review the application, determine eligibility, and contact you with a decision.
If approved for Tiger Meal Swipes, students will receive ONE (1) card with five swipes to the Tiger Den. Students will not receive multiple cards per semester.
Please note that meal cards obtained through the Tiger Meal Swipe program can only be used at the Tiger Den facility on the Memphis campus or at the BlueGray Cafe on the Lambuth campus.
