Welcome to The University of Memphis Tigers ASL Club!

UofM tigers ASL Club

The UofM Tigers ASL Club offers an inclusive invitation to those seeking an opportunity to be a part of an organization that fosters language growth, cultural competence, awareness, and more. The organization's purpose is to provide an environment for anyone wanting to learn about American Sign Language (ASL), the deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) community, or to further their knowledge and understanding by facilitating a space inclusive for all.

We hope to create a space that promotes the following:

  • Advocacy.
  • Provide language practice opportunities for those learning American Sign Language (ASL).
  • Educational presentations and conversations relating to the DHH community.
  • Enrichment.
  • Experiences with DHH culture.
  • A place to hold social events on and off campus alongside the DHH community.
