Center for Information Assurance Receives $500K Cybersecurity Training Grant

The Center for Information Assurance received a $500,000 grant under DHS/FEMA-CTG 2024 for three years to conduct a project entitled “Cybersecurity Analysis for Cloud Environments and Cyber Identity & Authentication.”
Dr. Mohd Hasan Ali, professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and associate Director of the Center will serve as the Principal Investigator (PI). Dr. Dipankar Dasgupta (pictured), professor of Computer Science and the Center director, will serve as co-PI.
The overall goal of the project is to design and develop cybersecurity-related education and training to address the technical needs of the future workforce and industry professionals in various sectors. This collaborative project is a part of a $7.5M grant awarded to the National Cybersecurity Preparedness Consortium, of which the University of Memphis is a core member.
