What is the LiFE Prep Academy?
UofM Global has collaborated with FedEx to provide eligible employees* the benefit of higher education. It takes a LOT of team members to keep the country's overnight deliveries on track, and we know each employee has different experiences when it comes to education. We want to make sure that no matter your past experiences, you're able to successfully earn a degree from UofM Global. For students without a college entrance exam or for those in need of lower division credit hours, the Prep Academy will be the first step on your journey.

- AGFS Hub Sort employees at the following locations:
- Memphis, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Oakland, Newark
- All U.S.-based FedEx Logistics, Inc. and FedEx Trade Networks team members

The Prep Academy is the first step!
Get started by contacting your LiFE Coach to review your previous experience, diplomas or transcripts. Your coach will help you find the shortest path to completion.
The Prep Academy delivers online coursework that you can complete at your own pace. Deadlines are flexible and you have unlimited opportunities to pass quizzes andwriting assignments. And the even better part is, there's no cost to you!
What topics will I learn about?
The coursework is designed to teach you skills for academic success, life in general and professional development.
What kind of support will I get?
We know the thought of applying to college can be overwhelming, so our team is here to make it easier for you. Your UofM Global LiFE Coach will be your main point of contact at the UofM from the time you get started until you complete the program. We also have tutors, course facilitators and specialized academic advisors to help along the way.
Your first assignment will be to complete "Smart Start" which will teach you how to complete a class online, provide tips on how to study and more. Once you start your journey, 24-hour tutoring will be available. Hub employees: check with your supervisor to see if your location offers LiFE students access to a FedEx Hub Learning Center with access to computers and a quiet place to work on your assignments before or after your shift. In addition, you may qualify to get a free iPad to use during the program*. (*while supplies last)
What happens next?
Once you successfully complete the LiFE Prep Academy, you will be admitted to the University of Memphis as an official college student. You will receive 12 college credit hours for completing the Prep Academy (which equals the average number of credit hours for one full semester)! You will continue on your LiFE Journey to earn a Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS) degree in Organizational Leadership. And you will officially be a University of Memphis Tiger!
