Freight Advisory Committee

This committee is intended to enhance the state of Tennessee's plans to expand on current freight transportation planning efforts and provide ongoing guidance that addresses new developments and trends in goods movement utilizing road, rail, air, and water. The state of Tennessee has three Freight Advisory Committees: West, Middle, East. The University of Memphis helps with the co-ordination of the meetings to bring all the stakeholders together. The committee will provide a forum for regional freight stakeholders to discuss strategies to aid in the efficient movement of freight and increase collaboration between the public and private sectors regarding freight matters which further the economic growth of the region while maintaining a good quality of life.
