Biography
Dr. Nick Delener has served as Dean of the Graham School of Business at York College of Pennsylvania, U.S.A.; Interim Dean of the School of Business and Economics at Indiana University East, U.S.A.; Founding Dean of the School of Business at ADA University, Azerbaijan; Founding Dean of the School of Global Business at Arcadia University, U.S.A.; Dean of the School of Business at the State University of New York Old Westbury, U.S.A.; and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs of the Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University, U.S.A. Dr. Delener was also a tenured Full Professor and Director of International Business Studies in the Tobin College of Business. He served as a Visiting Lecturer at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Dr. Delener is the Founder and Elected President of the Global Business and Technology Association (GBATA), which consists of over three thousand members worldwide, and Editor-in-Chief of the Scopus indexed Journal of Global Business and Technology (JGBAT). Dr. Delener received his Ph.D. from Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College/Graduate Center-The City University of New York (CUNY) and his MBA degree as well as two Advanced Professional Certificates from the Stern School of Business, New York University.
Dr. Delener’s experience with AACSB includes leading the business reaccreditation and initial accounting accreditation at St. John’s University, taking State University of New York Old Westbury to the final phase in five years, securing the acceptance of initial self evaluation report (iSER) and the progress report at Indiana University East, securing candidacy for initial Accreditation at York College of Pennsylvania, and being invited by AACSB to serve on a team and as a keynote speaker on the globalization of business curriculum. His fund-raising experience includes raising about $4,000,000.00 through grants and special projects, and the development of corporate relationships with partners around the world to generate resources.
Dr. Delener has published 22 books and more than 75 articles in prestigious and refereed journals including the Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Marketing Management, Journal of International Consumer Marketing, Journal of Marketing and Theory, Journal of Public Administration, and the Journal of Euromarketing among others. He has received several awards and grants including an Excellence in Graduate Teaching and Scholarship Award, an Administrative Outstanding Achievement Award, and a Research Grant from the U.S. Department of Education. Dr. Delener has conducted numerous executive seminars in many countries including Austria, Brazil, Czech Republic, England, Finland, Hungary, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, and Turkey. He has also been a consultant to several companies including Marriott Corporation, the Beaumont Organization, Ltd., and Ellington Duval, Inc.: Worldwide Marketing Group.
