About

José Magaña has been an Assistant Professor of Teaching in Spanish at the University of Memphis since Fall 2015. He regularly teaches lower-division Spanish courses (both online and face-to-face) and is part of the Spanish online development team of the World Languages and Literatures Department. He also teaches composition and conversation courses at the upper-division level occasionally and has had some experience with English to Spanish translation. He enjoys teaching, learning, traveling, reading good books, going to the movies, spending quality time with family and friends, and visiting relatives in his hometown--Guadalajara, Mexico.
