Hospitality and Resort Management
The Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management (KWS) at The University of Memphis was created and named after the founder of Holiday Inns, Kemmons Wilson, Sr. KWS offers a balance of academics and experiential learning in the hospitality, resort, and tourism business stressing global awareness, diversity and sustainability.
Our program provides an education stemming from the roots of hospitality and is designed to prepare students for a 21st century career in one of the largest industries of the world. Field experience provides students with learning while working in a variety of settings, such as: InterContinental Hotel Group properties, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Hilton Hotels, Peabody Hotel Group, Caesars Entertainment, and a myriad of other hotels, restaurants, resorts, sport and tourism businesses. Degree Opportunities
Undergraduate | Earn a Bachelor of Arts to be successful in the highly competitive hospitality business environment. |
Graduate | Earn a Masters of Science through our traditional 33-credit hour graduate program. |
Graduate Certificate | Establish industry credentials with our 12-credit program comprised of four required courses. The program can be completed in less than one year when taken part-time. |
Minor | Choose to minor in Hospitality and Resort Management to further increase your skills and portfolio. |
