Wilson Director's Message

Welcome to the Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management at the University of Memphis. Created and named for the founder of Holiday Inns, we are a prominent program providing a contemporary hospitality education, with an emphasis on lodging and resort operations. Students come here to learn what it takes to effectively run a successful hospitality business through a mix of class work, applied industry experiences and a required internship in lodging & hospitality operations. Management and leadership skills are delivered through course work focusing on asset management, facility development, human resources, resort management, food & beverage cost controls and revenue management. Housed in a full-service, award winning Holiday Inn hotel and conference center, you'll learn first-hand service standards, business challenges and real-time operations.

Graduates in Hospitality and Resort Management receive a B.A. degree. Our program provides an education designed to prepare students for a 21st century career in a field that is one of the largest employers in the world.
