Veterans Day Recognition

In honor of Veterans Day, VMSS hosts the annual Veterans Day Recognition event. Whether you served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard, we are grateful for your service. You may have wounds, both visible and invisible, that impact your life. The close friends you had may not have come home. You're starting life over. At UofM, these things don't go unnoticed. This signature event is our way of thanking you for your time and sacrifices.

Veterans Day originated as Armistice Day on Nov. 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of World War I. In 1938 it became a national holiday and was renamed Veterans Day. To learn more, watch the video: https://youtu.be/ymCa1eB_qLA
