Summer 2022 Undergraduate/Graduate Calendar

Please note: If you decide to withdraw completely from the University, your courses should be dropped promptly per the Fee Adjustment/Refund Deadlines for each term to avoid owing fees.

Pre-Summer and EXS 2022 Fee Payment Deadlines Fee Payment Policy:  Please note that all Course Fees, Material Fees, and Clinical Fees are non-refundable after the start of the first day of the course.

Carefully review the registration dates and corresponding fee payment deadlines below.  The Installment Payment Plan (IPP) is offered for the summer term to help satisfy payment requirements by the appropriate fee payment deadline.  If students are not planning to attend, courses should be dropped promptly to avoid owing fees.   

Students who register ONLY for Pre-Summer, EXS, or Pre-Summer, EXS and any other Summer Part-of-Term (POT) course during the following dates:

Fee payment deadline to avoid the assessment of $100 Late Payment Fee All registered courses should be paid in full or enrolled in the Installment Payment Plan (IPP) by the Fee Payment Deadline.
April 4, 2022 - May 2, 2022 N/A

May 2, 2022 by 4:30 p.m.

 May 3 - 10, 2022 May 10, 2022 by 4:30 p.m.

May 10, 2022 by 4:30 p.m.

  • If you register for a Pre-Summer course, EXS course and a Full Term course, the Fee Payment Deadline for both courses is May 2.  If you do not pay for both courses in full or do not have sufficient Financial Aid/Scholarships to pay for both courses, you may be deleted from both courses.
  • If you register for a Pre-Summer and Full Term course on or after May 7, you will be assessed a $100 Late Registration Fee.   A $100 Late Payment Fee will be assessed if your courses are not paid by 4:30 p.m. on May 10.  
  • The Installment Payment Plan is available for summer.

ATTENTION:  If you decide not to attend or you decide to drop a course(s), you must drop that course(s) from your schedule.  Your fees for dropping courses may be adjusted based on the refund policy in effect on the date you drop.  If you drop or add a UofM course to add or drop an "R" level course, then you would be assessed the appropriate adjustment based on the percentage of fee refund adjustment noted below. Changes in courses involving the adding and/or dropping of the same number of credit hours for the same part of term and processed on the same day may not require additional fees nor be subject to any fee adjustments based on this policy, other than what may result from dropping/adding courses from different programs that may have special program fees (such as Fine Fine Arts, Business, Engineering, and/or Developmental Studies Program courses).

Note: To request to register after late registration, you will need to see the Registrar's Add/Late Registration page.   If approved, be prepared to prepay in full or have sufficient financial aid/scholarships for ALL fees and penalties ($100 late payment fee and $100 late registration fee) for all Parts-Of-Term.  You will have five business days from the date that the college approves/signs the request to satisfy fees in order to be enrolled in courses.

Financial Aid/Scholarship Refunds

Financial Aid/Scholarship Refunds - Summer 2022
May 24

Deadline to sign up for eRefunds (direct deposit) on TigerXpress for processing excess financial aid/scholarship refunds as available for the initial direct deposit.

  Note: Students who miss this deadline should still sign up in preparation for subsequent disbursements.
May 27 eRefunds- Direct Deposit refunds will begin to post to students' bank accounts.
June 3 Checks will be sent to the Post Office for mailing.

First day UofM, TBR, UT, State of Tennessee, and other state  Colleges and Universities employee (PC191) fee waiver participants, students or Senior Citizen Reduced Tuition for Credit (Seniors 65 years old)/Tuition Waiver for Audit (Seniors 60 years old) may register for Summer classes.              

Note: Forms must be signed on April 15, 2022 or after.  All forms must be received by the end of the term.                             

 

Note: Students who register prior to this date will be denied the opportunity to use a space-available fee waiver program for this semester.

June 27

2nd POT Fee Payment Deadline (4:30 p.m.) - for students who are ONLY registered for any 2nd POT and registered between June 3– June 28, 2021.

 

July 2- 6    2nd POT Late Registration ($100 Late Registration Fee)
July 6 2nd POT and 2nd Teach Fee Payment Deadline for Late Registration (4:30 p.m.) to avoid the assessment of a $100 Late Payment Fee.
July 7

2nd POT Fee Payment Deadline (4:30 p.m.) - for students who are ONLY registered for any 2nd POT between July 2 – July 6, 2022.

 

Note:

  • Students who are registered for any other POT and add 2nd POT course(s) after their initial fee payment  will owe for the 2nd POT course(s) added.
  • Students who decide not to attend 2nd POT or decide to drop a 2nd POT course, must do so by July 6, 2022 (100% for 2nd POT) to avoid owing for 2nd POT courses.
  • After July 6, fees for dropping courses will be adjusted based on the refund policy in effect on the date the course(s) were dropped
