Fall 2024 Undergraduate & Graduate Calendar

Please note that all Course Fees and Material Fees are non-refundable after the start of the first day of the course.  Carefully review the registration dates and corresponding fee payment deadlines below. The Installment Payment Plan (IPP) is offered to help satisfy payment requirements by the appropriate fee payment deadline.  If students are not planning to attend, courses should be dropped promptly to avoid owing fees.     

April 1

Priority Registration for Fall 2024 begins (Space Availability Registration is July 29, 2024. See below for more details.)

July 12

eBills available online on TigerXpress

Students will be notified by email (U of M email address) when eBills are available and by text messaging if signed up on TigerXpress to receive text messages.Official Notifications and viewing eBills available online on TigerXpress

Installment Payment Plan (IPP) available to sign-up on TigerXpress.  An initial down payment of 25% of the remaining balance of tuition and fees is required and the $25 non-refundable enrollment fee will automatically be calculated in the total IPP plan amount.  Beginning on August 1, 2024, the non-refundable enrollment fee will be $50.00. 

July 15

Employment Certification for fee waivers and discounts forms must be completed, signed and dated July 15 or later.

Note:  All forms must be received by the end of the term.  

July 29

First day UofM, TBR, UT, other state colleges and universities, and state employees (PC191) fee waiver participants, students or Senior Citizen Reduced Tuition for Credit (Seniors 65 years old)/Tuition Waiver for Audit (Seniors 60 years old) may register for Fall classes.      

Note: Students who register prior to this date will be denied the opportunity to use a space-available fee waiver program for this semester.    

 July 31

GA Contracts due to Graduate School

August 5

 BAPP (Bookstore Advance Payment Plan) opens.

August 12

Initial Fee Payment Deadline for Fall 2024 semester by 4:30 p.m. for all registered students.  

Deadline to submit Departmental Fee Waivers to University & Student Business Services

August 16

BAPP (Bookstore Advance Payment Plan) closes.

August 20

Deadline to sign up for direct deposit on TigerXpress for processing excess financial aid/scholarship refunds as available for the initial direct deposit.

NOTE: Students who miss this deadline should still sign up in preparation for subsequent disbursements.

August 22

Refunds due from excess financial aid funds will begin processing for the Fall 2024 term for all students signed up for direct deposit.

August 26

First Day of Class (Full Term & 1st Part-of-term)

$200 Late Fee begins for students enrolling in Full Term and 1st part-of-term courses. Fee will be assessed to all students not paid-in-full or enrolled in the IPP.  Late Fee also applies to any initial registrations.

August 30

100% Fee Adjustment/Refund Deadline (1st part-of-term and TN eCampus 1st part-of-term courses only).  

September 1

1st Installment Fee Payment Deadline to avoid $25 Late Payment Fee for students enrolled in the Installment Payment Plan.

September 2

50% Fee Adjustment/Refund Deadline (1st part-of-term and TN eCampus 1st part-of-term courses only).  

September 4

Final Fee Payment Deadline for Fall 2024 semester by 4:30 p.m. for all registered students.  

September 6

100% Fee Adjustment/Refund Deadline (Full-term courses only).  

Meal Plan upgrade period closes.  Ensure upgrades are selected by this date to receive the $325 Tiger Eat$ fee deducted from your student account.

Last day to opt-out of Tigers SmartStart book program.

Last day to opt-out of International Health Insurance.

September 13

50% Fee Adjustment/Refund Period ends (Full-term courses only). 

October 1

2nd Installment Fee Payment Deadline to avoid $25 Late Payment Fee for students enrolled in the Installment Payment Plan.

October 18

First Day of Class (2nd part-of-term courses only).

$200 Late Fee begins for students enrolling in 2nd part-of-term courses.

October 23

100% Fee Adjustment/Refund Deadline (2nd part-of-term and TN eCampus 2nd part-of-term courses only).  

October 26

50% Fee Adjustment/Refund Deadline (2nd part-of-term and TN eCampus 2nd part-of-term courses only).  

November 1

3rd Installment Fee Payment Deadline to avoid $25 late Payment Fee for students enrolled in the Installment Payment Plan.

PLEASE NOTE: 
  • All courses must be paid in full or be enrolled in a designated semester’s Installment Payment Plan (IPP) by the designated Fee Payment Deadline. 
  • Students who decide not to attend must drop that course(s) from their schedule. 
  • Fees adjustments will be refunded based on the day of the drop and the University fee adjustment schedule.
  • When making schedule adjustments, courses may evenly exchange ONLY if they are the same number of hours, for the same part-of-term, and are both UofM courses (TN eCampus courses do not qualify).  Course/Material fees may still apply.

The University reserves the right to make changes to the schedule as necessary to be consistent with University policies and procedures.
