Parent & Family Association

The University of Memphis considers parents and family members to be valuable partners in student success. The Parent & Family Association (PFA) is a way for you to be informed and involved as partners in the education of your student. We believe the more we can help YOU, the more you can help your student!

Why Join?

Membership in the PFA allows you to connect and engage with the UofM while providing you with information and opportunities to support your student's learning. By providing you with access to information and staff who can help you, the PFA helps you to empower your student to take personal responsibility for social and academic choices. Additionally, the Association serves as a guide to understanding your student's experience at UofM. Membership in the Parent & Family Association provides members with a community-based connection to the university, while also serving as a vehicle for input and feedback to campus programs.

The PFA membership fee is utilized to provide increased accessibility, services, and events for families.

4-year membership, as long as your student is enrolled. Membership covers one (1) student.

  • Biweekly e-newsletters throughout the year
  • Welcome Gift with items just for members of the Parent & Family Association
    • Gift can be picked up in the PFS office or shipped to you (additional fee*)
  • Students are eligible to apply for Parent & Family Association Book Scholarships
  • Complimentary Parking passes at Main or Lambuth Campus available upon request
    • Parking passes valid for the Zach Curlin parking garage located next to the University Center
    • Requests must be made to the Parent & Family Services office at least 1 business day before the pass is needed
  • One (1) Commencement Gift
  • Membership Includes up to 2 family members in the same household
  

Lifetime Membership that never expires and covers you for all of your students who attend/will attend the UofM. 

Best for families who have multiple students attending at the same time, or who anticipate future enrollment for students. 

  • Includes all benefits of the Tiger Membership (see left)
  • $150 is a tax-deductible donation to the Parent Fund
  • Your student will receive one (1) complimentary Hug from Home in their first semester
