Canvas New Quizzes Transitions
Transitions Overview
The University of Memphis will transition from the Classic Quizzes engine to the New
Quiz engine for assessments in Canvas. This change will affect most faculty members
who use Canvas for their quizzes. As of the Fall 2024 semester, 58% of quizzes administered
in Canvas were created using Classic Quizzes. Starting in Spring 2026, all quizzes
on Canvas will be created using the New Quiz engine.
