UC Information Desk Assistant Job Description
Job Purpose
- Performs activities related to overseeing the daily operations of the University Center, Rose Theater, and all Conference & Event Services spaces.
Essential Functions

Answers inquiries about the University by phone, in person, and by email; responds to problems and needs.

Maintains displays of informational materials from university departments and Registered Student Organizations.

Organizes the University Center’s lost and found.

Observes the Atrium to identify guests who may need help, address inappropriate behavior, report all maintenance and custodial issues, etc.

Properly report and document all concerns and issues to Management and in the shift log.

Assist House Crew and Performance Technicians as needed.

Must be familiar with the university and its various departments.

Ability to display strong customer service skills.

Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully.

Must be able to use a computer and a phone effectively.

Must be able to work autonomously.
