UC House Crew Job Description
Job Purpose
- Serves as regular building staff to facilitate the general technical and setup needs of all events held in the University Center, Rose Theater, and all other Conference & Event Services spaces.
Essential Functions

Performs furniture setups for events in the University Center, Rose Theater, and all other Conference & Event Services spaces.

Performs basic Audio/Visual setups for meetings, presentations, and events in the University Center, Rose Theater, and all other Conference & Event Services spaces.

Serves as run crew and basic backstage support for Special Events.

Reports custodial and maintenance issues to management.

Performs basic custodial services as needed (such as removing trash or wiping down tables).

Handles requests for changes to event schedules and last-minute needs.

Responsible for providing excellent customer service by performing all room setups quickly and efficiently.

Properly report and document all concerns and issues to Management and in the shift log.

Assist Information Desk and Performance Technicians as needed.

Must be familiar with the university and its various departments.

Ability to display strong customer service skills.

Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully.

Ability to demonstrate all standard room configurations, including Theater, Rounds, Classroom, U-Shape, Conference Table/Hollow Square.

Ability to demonstrate an understanding of and ability to troubleshoot standard Audio/Visual equipment in the University Center and Rose Theater, including Crestron Touchscreen systems, installed and portable projectors, laptops, microphones, and basic lighting control.

Ability to demonstrate proper storage of furniture and technical equipment.

Must be able to work both autonomously and in a team setting.

Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
