Walk-In Lab
A state-of-the-art computer lab is available exclusively for participant use.
Financial Assistance
Assistance in securing adequate financial aid packages with an emphasis on reducing student loan debt. Participants who are in the first four semesters of college and receiving Pell are eligible to receive assistance via Grant Aid.
Themed Workshops
Opportunities to learn about time management strategies, enhance critical thinking
skills, network with employers, maximize the use of cutting-edge technology, alternatives
for expediting a graduation plan, etc.

Cultural activities and social events to enhance cultural/educational and social awareness.
These activities are designed to bring students, family, SSP staff, and the general
campus community together informally.

Academic Monitoring
TRIO staff serve as secondary advisors and proactively participant academic success via access to critical tools that serve the purpose of monitoring academic standing, persistence, and graduation from the UofM.
High-Quality Tutoring
Via a unique partnership with Educational Support Programs, participants have access to priority consideration when receiving tutoring assistance for a myriad of subjects.
Peer Mentoring
All freshman participants have an opportunity to be paired with a peer mentor (junior or senior participant) to provide an additional layer of social support as they embark on their postsecondary programs.
