Students

participants in the "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" eventAt the University of Memphis, we strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and safe. In 2018, the University of Memphis launched a comprehensive, campus-wide primary prevention program to engage students around the issues of sexual and domestic/dating violence prevention. The prevention program strives to create and deliver research-based training and programming to reduce sexual and domestic violence.

Students have provided leadership on campus to prevent sexual assault and dating violence, including serving on committees, hosting events, facilitating trainings, and hosting peer-to-peer support groups.
