The Alternative Break Experience
Spring Break Trip (March 3rd-March 9th, 2019)
What is the Alternative Break Experience?
The Alternative Break Experience is a 6-day, 5-night service immersion trip that will take place March 3rd-March 8th, 2019. This experience is designed to be a hands-on opportunity for students to learn more about themselves, others, and the world around them. This year, there will be seven trips, one of which is an international destination. Each trip will have a specific theme (This years themes are Human Rights and Social Justice, Women's Issues/Domestic & Sexual Violence, Community Development & Urban Poverty, Environmental Sustainability, Food Security & Environmental Awareness, Urban Education, and Community Development).
Applicants are asked to rank their top 3 choices by topic. The location of each trip will be revealed three weeks before the trip itself (Feb. 12th). The reason for leaving the location a mystery is so applicants are choosing based on the service experience and not the location. Students will also participate in nightly group discussion and reflection activities. *All trips are drug and alcohol free*
How will I know If I am accepted to participate in the Alternative Break Experience?

As you submit your online application, please be sure to pick a group interview time on the last question.
