Sound Fuzion
Sound Fuzion is a contemporary student music ensemble from the University of Memphis
Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music whose mission is to entertain, educate, inspire, and
inform. Our repertoire includes all forms of contemporary music, including current
and classic pop, rock, country, Motown, and R&B.
Sound Fuzion comprises six vocalists, a six-piece rhythm section, a three-piece horn section and two audio engineers. Michael Parsons directs our creative team of students. Members are selected through a highly selective audition process each year. Being in Sound Fuzion offers its members a one-of-a-kind opportunity to create music and learn the ins and outs of performing and touring, all while pursuing a degree of choice. In addition, each member is awarded a $5,000 annual scholarship. The Sound Fuzion Scholarship Contract is a total one-year commitment.
For over 30 years, passion, dedication, talent, and professionalism have made Sound Fuzion one of the most respected ensembles of its kind.
