Mission and Purpose
Mission:
The mission of the Center for Service Learning and Volunteerism is to provide students, faculty, and staff with meaningful service opportunities and to develop them into good stewards and change agents in their local, regional, and global communities.
Purpose:
The purpose of the Center for Service Learning and Volunteerism is to serve as a liaison between faculty, students, and community partners. We offer support, resources, and placement opportunities to empower students' experiential learning through a focus on civic engagement and social responsibility.

By the Numbers
During the 2022-2023 Academic Year, over 1600 students volunteered over 21,000 hours to yield an economic impact of $600,400.88 back to the greater Memphis Community (economic impact is a measure of the value of volunteer time by The Independent Sector).
