Welcome to Tipirneni-Sajja Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy Lab!!

We are a team of multi-cultural, inspired biomedical engineers continuously striving to develop and investigate innovative quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and spectroscopy (NMR) techniques for various translational and clinical applications. We pursue meritorious biomedical research at the intersection of multiple disciplines including life sciences, physics, engineering and technology to advance science and benefit healthcare.

Our collaborations with the College of Health Studies at the University of Memphis and Diagnostic Imaging at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will provide students a unique opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary team of basic scientists, engineers and clinicians, and test the developed techniques for preclinical and clinical applications. MRISL is a place where we believe commitment, determination and hard work combined with mentorship and guidance are key drivers for success. We train motivated graduate and undergraduate students to pursue research in advancing MRI and NMR techniques. Our lab also offers summer internships to high school students to shadow our lab and get some hands-on experience in biomedical research. To find out about the opportunities, contact us
