Objective
PH-IDEAS conceptual framework will address the issues of health inequities through the lens of human-centered design approach combined with principles of learning, behavioral, humanistic theories, and information processing theory focused on three key areas:
- Workforce Development
- Foundational Capabilities
- Data Modernization
Strategic Goals
This program has three important strategies that will achieve the goals:
Workforce Development
- Recruit and hire new public health staff.
- Retain public health staff.
- Support and sustain the public health workforce.
- Train new and existing public health staff.
- Strengthen workforce planning, systems, processes, and policies.
- Strengthen support for the implementation of this agreement.
Foundational Capabilities
- Strengthen accountability and performance management, including accreditation.
- Strengthen organizational competencies addressing information technology, human resources, financial management, contract, and procurement services.
- Enhance communications.
- Enhance or increase policy development and legal services and analysis.
- Strengthen community partnership development and engagement.
- Improve equity and organizational competencies addressing leadership, governance, and strategic planning.
Data Modernization
- Establish a modern and interoperable data infrastructure.
- Provide SCHD with a platform for more efficient information sharing and communication.
- Offer systematic training to SCHD employees on skills in operating modernized data.
- Innovate projects to accelerate implementation.
