- Public Health Executive Fellowship for Bachelor's and master's level graduates who've completed their degrees in the past 12 months.

- Responsibilities: Make presentations, host events, develop marketing campaigns, participate in community outreach events, recruit volunteers to serve as blood drive coordinators, coordinate communications with volunteer blood drive coordinators, and innovate new ways to rebuild the volunteer blood donor base.
- Skills required: Excellent Oral and Communications Skills, Public Speaking Skills, Able to Work Autonomously, Organizational and Marketing Skills, and Community Engagement Skills.

- Internship with the Green Leaf Farm: is seeking passionate and dedicated interns to support its mission of addressing food insecurity and promoting health and wellness in the South Memphis community. Interns will have the opportunity to work hands-on in urban agriculture, community engagement, and educational programming, making a meaningful impact on local families and youth. Collaborate on health and nutrition workshops to educate families on food as medicine and sustainable living practices. Participate in the planning and execution of community events and initiatives focused on food access and wellness. Provide support for data collection, reporting, and evaluation of program outcomes. Serve as a liaison between the farm and the community, building relationships to strengthen partnerships. Strong interest in urban agriculture, public health, nutrition, or education.

- Food Pantry Friend: Assist in providing nutritious monthly food bags filled with fresh and locally sourced items. Delivery options are available for clients in need.
- Promotional Friend: Help raise awareness and support for Friends For All by assembling distribution bags with health education materials. These will be provided at outreach events and through our partner organizations.
- Feast For Friends: Join us in hosting our monthly gathering where clients enjoy an evening of entertainment and dining. Volunteers will assist in preparing and serving meals in a delightful sit-down format.

St. Jude HPV Cancer Program and Department of Hematology

- HPV Cancer Program: Paid Internship/Practicum placement
- Seeking a student in public health or a related social and behavioral science field who has an interest in dissemination and implementation science, social and behavioral science, training and technical assistance, quantitative and qualitative research, evidence-based approaches, partnered research, and community mobilization. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. A suitable candidate will be able to work autonomously and with a team and work onsite at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
- Department of Hematology: Paid internships/practicum placements - We have several registry studies for non-malignant hematologic diseases, including sickle cell, hemophilia, and bone marrow failure syndrome. For these roles, there would be opportunities for data abstraction, preliminary statistical analysis, recruitment and consenting of participants, conducting qualitative research (interviews), literature reviews, and some assistance on the production of academic products.

- Research Data Assistant Practicum/Internship: Can be full- or part-time. This position works closely with the clinical side of our Research team. Experience with clinical research phases II, III, and IV + familiarity with electronic data capture and clinical data management systems preferred. In this role, a student would assist with data management, quality assurance, and administrative tasks. Additionally, we could host a student to assist with grant-writing and the more administrative tasks of our Research team.

Tips to help you succeed at the Career Fair
- Research the Organizations
Before attending, research the participating companies to understand their job openings, values, and culture. This will help you have meaningful conversations. - Bring Print Copies of Your Resume
Set up a resume review meeting with Jamecia Richardson, Coordinator for Experiential Learning and Career services (jamecia.richardson@memphis.edu). - Dress Professionally
Business formal or professional attire is a must. - Practice Your Elevator Pitch
Prepare a 30-60 second pitch about your skills, interests, and what you're looking for in a career. Be concise and confident. - Ask Insightful Questions
Engage recruiters with thoughtful questions about the company’s culture, job roles, growth opportunities, or the industry’s future. It shows genuine interest. - Be Respectful of Recruiter’s Time
Be respectful of other students waiting in line. Keep your conversations concise, and don’t take up too much time. - Follow-Up After the Event
Collect business cards and send a polite follow-up email to recruiters thanking them for their time. Mention something specific you discussed. - Stay Open-Minded
Try to engage with all organizations, even if they do not have open positions right now. Sometimes a good conversation can open unexpected doors.
