MHA Annual UAB Case Competition

February 19, 2025 - The UAB Health Administration Case Competition is an annual event hosted by the University of Alabama at Birmingham, bringing together graduate students from top health administration programs across the country. Teams analyze a complex healthcare case, develop strategic solutions, and present their recommendations to a panel of industry professionals. This competition provides students with a unique opportunity to apply their knowledge in a real-world context, network with healthcare leaders, and enhance their problem-solving and presentation skills.

This is the 19th year of the case competition, which featured 40 CAHME-accredited MHA programs from across the country. Representing the University of Memphis School of Public Health competing team were Miguel Hayes, Vice President and RSO Chair of the MHA Student Association, LeRenia Adams, and Billy Brooks Jr., MHA Student Association Secretary/Treasurer.

Health Systems Management and Policy faculty who were in attendance included Dr. Dale Sanders, Professor and MHA Program Director, Dr. William Cameron Bigler, Assistant Professor, and Prof. Mark Hendricks, Associate Professor.
