National Leadership Institute: Host Institution Packet
Our Mission
The Student National Medical Association (SNMA) is committed to supporting current and future underrepresented minority medical students, addressing the needs of underserved communities, and increasing the number of clinically excellent, culturally competent, and socially conscious physicians. SNMA chapters, based at allopathic and osteopathic medical schools across the nation, as well as some colleges implement our programs and activities locally. Our initiative focuses on improving healthcare access for marginalized communities and prompting diversity in the medical field. Additionally, SNMA advocates for culturally responsive medical education and works to increase the enrollment and graduation rates of African American, Latino, and other students of color in medical school.
