Graduate Certificate in Population Health
How to Apply
The School of Public Health will provide SOPHAS Express application coupon codes for applicants to our graduate certificate programs. To receive a SOPHAS Express coupon code, contact Shirl Sharpe at ssharpe@memphis.edu or (901) 678-1710. To learn more about how to apply your coupon code, view the SOPHAS Express Application Fees page. NOTE: The University of Memphis School of Public Health does not require an additional supplemental application fee.
Step 1: Create an account in SOPHAS Express
Step 2: Prepare the following documents to be submitted to SOPHAS Express:
- Statement of Purpose and Objectives (approximately 500 words)
- Unofficial Transcripts
- CV/Resume
- Proof of legal residence
- Email addresses for individuals to provide letters of recommendation [Certificate in Population Health Informatics (2) and Certificate in Health Systems Leadership (1) only]
- International students:
- Transcripts from degrees obtained outside of the United States must be evaluated by WES or by any members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (send to SOPHAS Express)
- TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo Scores should also be sent to SOPHAS Express
Admissions Criteria
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum cumulative GPA requirements:
- Graduate Certificate in Population Health: 2.75
- Statement of Purpose and Objectives (approximately 500 words)
- Minimum score on test of English proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo) for non-native English speakers
- Letters of recommendation [Graduate Certificate in Population Health Informatics (2) and Graduate Certificate in Health Systems Leadership (1) only]
