As a full-time employee at UTHSC, assisting in research pertaining to cancer and obesity in underserved populations, finding a program able to accommodate my schedule was crucial. The School of Public Health not only embraced my commitment to work but also seamlessly integrated its curriculum, allowing me to excel academically while balancing a demanding professional life.
The school’s continued commitment to students by fostering personal and professional growth is evident in its diverse curriculum. I was able to continue growing in knowledge in my current research area, while expanding my range of expertise to a variety of other fields. This exposure paved the way for several publications and the opportunity to present my findings at local and international conferences.
