Blake Moseley
Master of Public Health (MPH)
Moving from New Mexico to Memphis was a leap into the unknown, embarking on a journey without connections, into a city I was unfamiliar with. The University of Memphis' School of Public Health welcomed me with open arms, providing a nurturing environment that greatly eased my transition. The faculty and staff's dedication to student success was palpable, always seeking opportunities to help us achieve our goals. Professors and classmates always lent a helpful hand when it was needed, and my first semester was full of support. A testament to this supportive culture was Dr. Jia, who recognized my potential and entrusted me with the role of coordinator for the Tennessee Office of Resource for Assistance and Community Training in Region 4 on Environmental Justice. This position not only contributed significantly to my professional growth but also allowed me to engage deeply with the community, addressing environmental justice issues. The school's belief in my abilities and the opportunities for real-world impact have been instrumental in my journey, marking an unforgettable chapter in my personal and professional development in public health.
