Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Health
Brief
With quantitative and laboratory expertise, our Division is committed to advance population health through rigorous, innovative and multidisciplinary community-based research.
Multidiscipline is the nature of EBE. Our programs equip students with the multidisciplinary tools and knowledge to navigate the complex landscape of public health. These programs, through a careful design, integrate principles from epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, and environmental health to provide a comprehensive understanding of disease patterns, risk factors, and the analytical methods used in public health research.
EBE curriculum empowers students to critically analyze health and environment data, develop novel analytical approaches, design robust research studies, and draw evidence-based conclusions beneficial to population health. Our programs emphasize practical applications to ensure that our students are well-prepared to address real-world health challenges and make a meaningful impact on disease prevention and health promotion.
Our faculty actively engage in collaborative efforts with researchers across campus and various institutes. The Division encourages interdisciplinary and innovative research with high impact on enhancing population health. Faculty and graduate students contribute to diverse research areas, including cancer, allergic diseases, and environmental and life exposures, contributing to a holistic understanding of health determinants. Their work extends beyond exploration to actively address prevention strategies and health disparities, ensuring a comprehensive and impactful approach to advancing public health outcomes.
