Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) Accreditation
In 2021, the School received a full seven-year CEPH re-accreditation, which includes our doctoral, master's and undergraduate programs. The accreditation decision came at the CEPH Board of Councilors meeting on March 7-8, 2021. The accreditation report may be accessed here.
We would like to thank our current students, alumni, and community members who participated in our CEPH Self-study and Site Visit.
This was an important achievement because of the benefits afforded students who attend a CEPH-accredited schools or program. CEPH-accredited schools and programs are peer-reviewed and undergo a rigorous accreditation process ensuring that students receive a high-quality, competency-based education. Additionally, students are eligible to sit for the Certified in Public Health (CPH) exam, making them more competitive in the job market. Finally, public health internships and fellowships sponsored by some federal agencies, as well as some employment opportunities such as those at state and local governments require a MPH from a CEPH-accredited institution.
Following a successful site visit in October of 2021, we received full 7-year reaccreditation.
We would like to thank our current students, alumni, and community members who are
participating in this effort.
