Honors Program

The University of Memphis offers several paths for students who are looking for a challenging academic environment. Some students choose just one honors pathway, while others choose to follow several. Three popular paths for psychology majors are Psychology Honors, Psi Chi, and University Honors.

• The Psychology Honors Program provides an opportunity for selected Psychology majors to enrich their learning experience through honors courses, independent study, a senior thesis, and extracurricular learning experiences. 

• Psi Chi, the international honors society in psychology, serves the purpose of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, as well as advancing the science of psychology. 

• The Helen Harding University Honors Program encourages and supports opportunities to enhance the educational experience of its members. The Honors College also coordinates special academic, social, and cultural events for honors students in which they can become part of a community of friends and fellow scholars outside the classroom.
