Advancing best practices in public safety

The Public Safety Institute (PSI) at the University of Memphis is an interdisciplinary part of the university community committed to identifying and advancing best practices in the field of public safety.

The PSI is housed in the School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy (SUAPP), with Executive Director Bill Gibbons reporting directly to Dean Abby Parrill-Baker of the College of Arts and Sciences in which SUAPP resides. The executive director has a working relationship with the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law as well as part of the interdisciplinary collaborative nature of the PSI's work. More about the PSI.
