Suits For Success
USA Today recently reported that 50% of surveyed employers identified that young college graduates often lose out on potential job opportunities because they mistakenly wear inappropriate attire to interviews. However, acquiring the appropriate professional clothing items necessary for a successful job search is a real challenge for many students.
Through the generous support of alumni and friends, the "Suits for Success" program helps deserving and qualified FCBE students by providing $250 in reimbursements toward the purchase of clothing items essential to a successful job search.
The fund is competitive for FCBE students who have earned a Professional Development Program Certificate. Applicants are required to submit their resume, an essay outlining their academic accomplishments and financial need, as well as a letter of recommendation from a faculty member. All applications are reviewed by a committee of FCBE faculty and staff, and awards are based on fund availability.
