One-Time Pay for Students & Temporary Employees
Project Scope:
Define 'One Time Pay' and develop an electronic process for student and temporary
employees. Evaluate, setup any new positions, eclass and earnings code and test. This
is sub-committee from the 'Student Employment Appointment Process'.
PROPOSED TIMELINE: April 2019 - June 2019
Project Updates:May 15, 2019:
- Team defined one time pay as "Payment for services rendered for a specific event or project. Payment will be received in full on a single bi-weekly payroll cycle. One time pay can only be used for Students or Temporary employees. This can include but not limited to non-employee consultants, student working during commencement, or those facilitating Continue Education courses, seminars, workshops or presentations. Note: This payment type cannot be used for hours not recorded on the bi-weekly timesheets".
- NEW One time pay pool positions will be created for the following eclasses: ST=students, TH=temporary hourly and TE=temporary hourly ACA eligible. These positions can be used by all departments and funding will be provided on the eContract.
- New earnings code will be determined.
- eContract will validate Tennessee minimum wage requirement is met.
