Pouncer Chat FAQs
Pouncer Chat is an AI-based chatbot that can answer questions abouts admissions, financial aid, registration, student billing, academic advising, and technical support.
Pouncer Chat works by you asking questions. It works best when you ask just one question at a time. It works even better when you type it as a question. (for example, "Where do I get my Campus ID made?" rather than just "Campus ID")
Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions, Financial Aid and Scholarships, Registrar, USBS (student billing), academic advising, UofM Global, Center for International and Educational Services, and Technical Support.
Pouncer Chat is available 24/7, 365 days a year.
Some common questions that Pouncer answers are:
- When is the first day of class?
- How do I apply for admission?
- When will I receive my refund?
- Who is my advisor?
- When can I register for classes?
Pouncer needs to answer questions. Typing "tickets" is not sufficient. Pouncer needs to know more. Try asking "Where do I get a time ticket for registration?" or "Where do I pay for my parking ticket?"
Pouncer can now provide an answer with your account information. To get personalized answers, you will be prompted to enter your UofM username and password. Once logged in, Pouncer can provide you with your current major, current GPA, academic advisor’s name, etc.
