he received his PhD at McMaster University and came to us in August 2022 from a postdoctoral
position in Heidelberg, Germany.
Dr. Francisco Muller Sanchez is an observational astrophysicist who studies galaxy
evolution, galaxies with active supermassive black holes and galaxies that are merging.
Originally from Mexico, he received his PhD from Ludwig Maximilians University in
Munich (LMU), working at the Max-Planck Institut for Extraterrestrial Physics (MPE).
After postdoc positions in Spain and at UCLA, Dr. Muller Sanchez came to us from UC,
Boulder, CO to expand our astronomy program.
