Join us Friday evening, at 6:00 p.m. on March 24, 2023, to witness Dr. Jeff Bennett of the University of Colorado deliver the seventh annual Lois McGlothlin Donaldson Endowed Lecture in Physics. Dr. Bennett explained the basic scientific ideas that undergird the present understanding of Global Warming and proposed a pathway to mitigate the worst anticipated effects while continuing the technological development.
Biographical Information
Dr. Jeffrey Bennett is an astrophysicist at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is an avid science educator, acclaimed author, and founder of BigKidScience.com, which generates revenue for science education. While a Visiting NASA Senior Scientist, he proposed and developed the Voyage Scale Model Solar System on the National Mall in Washington, DC. He was a major donor in support of the Memphis Voyage Solar System, and is speaking at several related events for the UM Dept. of Physics and Materials Science. Learn more at jeffreybennett.com.
