Are you bringing a vehicle to campus? This is what to expect.
Permit Distribution:
Parking & Transportation Services, uses the US Postal Service to mail permits and
stickers 1 month prior to the first day of class, to the mailing address students
have on record with the Registrar’s Office. Mail out deadline occurs 5 days prior
to the first day of class. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure their permit is current. If a new semester sticker is not received by the first day of class, please come
to PTS (Parking & Transportation Services) at 505 Zach Curlin, lower level of the
Zach Curlin Garage, 8am – 4pm.
General Permits:
All registered students will receive a UofM permit and a current semester validation
sticker. Your first sticker will be FA23 (Fall 2023 semester). Students will maintain
possession of this permit throughout the duration of their time at the UofM. New stickers
will be mailed each semester which is what keeps the permit current and up to date.
This permit is good for all General Parking Lots shown in Yellow on the Campus Map. All spaces are first come, first served.
Resident Permits:
Resident Parking lots are available near each Residence Hall, shown in Purple on the
Campus Map. Access to Resident Lots is purchased separately online using TigerPark for $40 per semester. Resident stickers must Be renewed each semester. Residents may also park in any General Parking Lot.
Priority Permits:
Students also have the option to purchase access to one Priority Lot, shown in Blue
on the Campus Map. Access to Priority Lots is purchased separately online using TigerPark for $95 per semester. Evening access after 4:30pm $40. Priority stickers must be renewed each semester.Students can also park in any General lot.
Accessible Permits:
Students must register with PTS using their State issued Disability Placard or License Plate paperwork, that matches
the individual requesting access. Parking will issue a semester sticker for Accessible
Parking that allows access to all gated lots with Accessible Parking, shown in Red
on the Campus Map. Accessible stickers must be renewed each semester. Students can also park in any General lot.
Citations:
Everyone on campus must have a permit of some kind to park on UofM property. Citations
are issued for infractions to the Parking Rules and Regulations. Citations must be appealed within 15 days of issuance. All student appeals are adjudicated
by the Student Government Association. Appeal citations through TigerPark (PTS). Pay citations through TigerXpress (USBS).
Transportation:
The Blue Line is our shuttle system with regular routes on Main Campus and Park Ave Campus. For
all residence halls, we offer weekly shopping routes to Kroger and Target. Transloc
