Family of the Year

Each year, during Parent & Family Weekend, Parent & Family Services celebrates a parent or family member that has been an inspiration to their student. These parents not only go above and beyond for their student, but they also support the University of Memphis community through volunteering, serving on committees, and being an ambassador for the university.

2021 Family of the Year Nominations Are Now Closed!

Parent & Family Services invites students to nominate parents, family members or guardians whose lives have been an inspiration to their students and others as the 2021 Family of the Year. All those who are nominated by their student will receive a congratulatory letter and a copy of the essay submission. Winners must be able to participate in the Football Game on Saturday, September 25 and attend the Parent & Family Weekend Sunday Brunch on Sunday, September 26 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Tickets will be provided for the football game.
