LCON Honors Program

The Loewenberg College of Nursing offers several options for nursing honors students to fulfill honors requirements while enhancing their academic experience. Students earn honors credit each semester by working with faculty to conduct an approved undergraduate research project or to complete a specific assignment in a course. Course-specific assignments include faculty-directed topics and projects which facilitate competency development in care management of complex patient populations.

Students meet with course faculty in the first week of the semester to discuss potential projects and assignments. Completed student-faculty contracts are sent to the LCON Honors Coordinator by the second Friday of the semester. Approval of the research honors contract requires the endorsement of the faculty, the student, the LCON Honors Coordinator, and the Director of the Honors Program.
