New Graduate Residency Programs

Year-long, full-time PAID positions
LOCATIONS:  Midwest and East U.S. States

Prestigious teaching hospital will hire outside of the cohort and do a training plan within the hospital. They will hire for DECEMBER start dates if you are a good match. There are also are hospitals with a FEBRUARY cohort date. If you are graduating in December, reach out to hear about the February cohort dates!

Areas of specialty for you to choose from include:  

  • Emergency Services, ICU/Critical Care
  • Med Surg: Spine, ortho, Renal, medical Telemetry Observation, Adult Med/Surg, General Medicine, General surgery (post op), and Pulmonary

Compensation:

  • ~$25-$27 / hour
  • Sign-On Bonuses are about $5,000
  • Relocation is $5,000 

This is an opportunity to grow and gain clinical experience across a variety of settings in a supportive environment that includes mentoring, professional development and peer support.

Program Structure:

  • 6 weeks in classroom
  • 8 weeks of preceptorship
  • Remainder of 1st year: you will have a mentor; these are RNs who enjoy training
  • Monthly meetings w/Directors to chart your progress and plan future career goals

Overview:

  • The focus is growth and development
  • Many new grads gain specialty certifications, become preceptors, mentors, charge nurses, and /or grow into other specialties/service lines.  There are career pathways in place to help you move and grow within your career.  The units are welcoming to new grads and are team oriented.  There is a community and family like culture.
  • You will be trained to be an Expertise in handling sophisticated medical equipment

Locations:  

  • Some locations are coastal with beaches and others are in mountainous areas
  • These are outdoor recreational locations with mountainous recreation activities. Miles of the best hiking trails by foot or mountain bike. The possibilities are endless when it comes to exploring the outdoors. The downtown areas are very unique and eclectic. Thriving art scenes, fine dining, fantastic stores. Lively cities with gorgeous architecture.
  • If you want to be near beaches, there are Residency Programs within 30 minutes
