LCON Launches First Cohort of Student Ambassadors
In Fall 2024, the Loewenberg College of Nursing (LCON) proudly launched its inaugural cohort of Nursing Student Ambassadors. The LCON Student Ambassador program allows students to make a lasting impact on the future of nursing at the University of Memphis. By assisting with special events, leading tours, and creating a welcoming environment for all, the ambassadors are fostering a culture of support and encouragement within the College. Through their passion, dedication, and leadership, these nursing students are not only enriching their own educational experiences but also helping to shape the next generation of nurses.
This inaugural cohort of eight student nurses, known for their energy, professionalism, and deep commitment to the nursing profession, are setting the standard for future ambassadors and contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the Loewenberg College of Nursing. With their passion for nursing and leadership, the ambassadors will play a key role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the LCON community.
Becoming an LCON Student Ambassador comes with numerous benefits. In addition to gaining leadership and management experience, ambassadors receive networking opportunities to develop professional contacts and strengthen communication skills. Moreover, each ambassador is eligible for up to a $1,500 scholarship per semester, and they earn a UofM TigerZone Digital Badging Leadership Professional Endorsement. Beyond these tangible rewards, the role of a student ambassador helps participants grow personally and professionally, preparing them for future roles in healthcare leadership.
