Holistic healing requires alignment of mind, body, and spirit. Dr. Augusta adheres to this philosophy. In her opinion, holistic healing is essential to the health of the body. Her teachings refer to the possibility of a strong spiritual base in Black women since she believes that spirituality shapes healthcare decisions for most Black women. There are opportunities for success if healthcare is viewed in context. By researching and advocating for Black women, she aims to close health disparity gaps and improve health care services for them.
