About Dr. Wilson
Dr. Wilson is a Clinical Assistant Professor, teaching in both didactic and clinical courses in the BSN and MSN programs. She holds a DNP in Executive Leadership and is a member of the Tennessee Nurses Association (TNA), American Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International. Dr. Wilson worked in cardiac stepdown, CVICU, infusion therapy, and clinical research. Her specialties are cardiology and clinical research. She is a Daisy Faculty award nominee (May 2018), a Daisy Faculty Award receipient (May 2019) and received an Above & Beyond award from LCON "for meeting and exceeding the highest standards" in December 2019.
Dr. Wilson co-authored a paper titled "Chronic Conditions: A Motivator for Reexamining the Effectiveness of Promotions and Communications of Organizational Wellness Programs." The paper was presented and won a Best Paper Award at the Joint Conferences of the International Conference on Learning and Administration in Higher Education and the Academic Business World International Conference in May 2017. She also co-authored a manuscript titled "College of Nursing Sponsored Research Forum to Promote Student Scholarship Development" in the Journal of Nursing Education in March 2021.
