About Betsy Moore
Dr. Betsy Moore has been a dedicated member of the Loewenberg College of Nursing faculty since 2015. She served as a Clinical Assistant Professor for nine years before being appointed as an Assistant Professor in 2024. Her extensive clinical experience as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nurse at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, where she has worked since 2004, includes expertise in extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and critical care management.
Dr. Moore holds a national certification in pediatric critical care (CCRN-P) from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, which she has maintained since 2009. Her commitment to advancing the field is evident through her numerous presentations and awards, including the prestigious Certificate of Excellence in Clinical Scholarship awarded by the Society of Pediatric Nurses in 2017.
Active in the professional nursing community, Dr. Moore is a member of the Society of Pediatric Nurses, the American Nurses Association, and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She also serves as the Secretary of the Tennessee Nurses Association, a role she has held since 2022.
In addition to her academic and clinical responsibilities, Dr. Moore volunteers her time at University Schools on the University of Memphis campus, demonstrating her dedication to fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals.
